Creativity Lab, in partnership with the Cambridge Creativity Commons and Gately Youth Center
Creativity Lab is a community outreach program in partnership with Gately Youth Center that facilitates an 8-week afterschool arts workshop for middle school youth. The program engages youth to explore various methods of art-making, to connect with artists, educators, and professionals (from all backgrounds) of the community that incorporate art and creative practices in their professions, and to develop creative entrepreneurial skills.
Creativity Lab 2016:
The Cambridge Creativity Commons, Cambridge Art Association, and Gately Youth Center come together to connect local artists and professionals with Cambridge youth. During this year’s 8 week session students will learn all about printmaking and related art forms. Five artists will visit Gately and share their work and teach students about how art is used in their professions.

Creativity Lab 2015:
With the Creativity Lab, a new outreach initiative in partnership with Cambridge Creativity Commons and Gately Youth Center, and supported by the Cambridge Arts Council, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Cambridge Community Foundation and Cambridge Youth Programs, we are taking a new approach to reuse. Over an 8-week period in out of school time, students will work with professional artists to transform trash into treasure!
