The Cambridge Art Association – founded by a group of volunteers in 1944 – welcomes volunteers from our membership and the general public. Volunteering at CAA is a great way to connect with fellow artists and art supporters, and become involved in the dynamic, local arts community.

INTERNSHIPS

The Cambridge Art Association maintains an ongoing internship program for qualified undergraduate students, as well as recent graduates and those pursuing graduate-level degrees in an arts-related field. All interns will have the experience of working as a part of a busy visual arts community, and will gain experience in the many facets of gallery management. Applicants should be extremely motivated, eager to learn more about small visual arts organizations, and comfortable working with the general public.

Marketing/Arts Administration Intern: the intern will undertake marketing related projects, including updating marketing contacts and working with the staff to implement a comprehensive marketing plan.

Development Intern: the intern will assist with activities related to fundraising and development, including, but not limited to: grants research; Gala event planning; donor events.

Education and Programs Intern: the intern will assist with Cambridge Art Association’s expanded programming and educational outreach initiatives. Intern should have interest in, and experience with arts-related programming with an educational focus.

10-15 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday preferred.

All applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or have a recent degree. Interest in the arts and working with artists preferred. Experience working with MACs, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
