Updates

To our community –

As we look toward Fall 2021, and track the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, we will continue to update this page.

As we return to in-person events in September, and with the rise in COVID-19 cases, we will ask that all visitors and programs attendees wear masks for any indoor events. This is in alignment with updated guidance from the CDC, which has identified Middlesex County as an area of “substantial” COVID-19 transmission. We appreciate your adherence to the CAA’s guidelines. We will have disposable masks on hand for anyone who needs one. We appreciate your help in keeping everyone safe – and know that we are all in this together.

Staffing and Gallery Hours: our staff – Erin Becker (Director) and Candice Bancheri (Associate Director) – are in the office Tuesday-Friday, working remotely on Monday. The Kathryn Schultz Gallery is closed, August 3-September 2; the staff will be on Summer break from August 14-29. We will resume regular hours (Tuesday-Friday, noon-4pm and Saturday, 10am-2pm) on Wednesday, September 8.

University Place Gallery remains closed. We are in regular communication with Boston Properties about the use of that space, but do not have a timeline for reopening.

Programs: click here to see what programs we are offering this Fall.

Exhibits: click here to see our upcoming exhibits – at our Kathryn Schultz Gallery, Darwin’s LTD, and online.

We appreciate your continued support, and patience, as we transition to a new normal. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas, we are here to listen!

These continue to be challenging times. As we continue to uphold our mission, we remain uncertain of what the months to come will look like. I hope that, if you are able, you can help – by making a donation, purchasing a piece of artwork, or taking a class.
