ZHULDYZ DATKA

Zhuldyz Datka is graduate student at Boston University studying Arts Administration. She was born in Turkestan, historical capital city of Kazakhstan. Because of tremendous tourists coming to her city, she was passionate about people’s culture, origins, and thoughts. As a result, she studied Culture Studies on her bachelor degree in Kazakh National University after Al-Farabi, one of the leading universities not just in Kazakhstan but also in Central Asia. In addition to her study, she worked in two well-known museums: Kunaev House Museum and Center State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan as an Administrative Assistant.

She won the presidential scholarship, Bolashak, to achieve her dream, which is to create nonprofit art organization in USA and as well as in Kazakhstan. She studies Art Administration in order to fully understand art organization’s functioning structures and budgets. She believes doing Developmental Interns at Cambridge Arts Association will further enhance her knowledge, experience firsthand and broaden her prospective.

She likes traveling and learning new culture, the way people live and represent their communities.
