ABOUT THE RED DOT SMALL WORKS SALE
Submit your artwork for our upcoming Red Dot Small Works Sale – a cash and carry exhibition featuring affordable, ready-to-sell pieces for collectors and gift-givers alike. All works must not exceed 16 inches on the longest side.
For this call, the Cambridge Art Association invites artists 18 and older, and based in New England, to submit. All visual media will be considered (2D, 3D, video). Artwork will be installed at the CAA @ Canal Gallery (650 E Kendall).
About the Jurors
Marc Gurton
After a fruitful career in accounting, Marc set out to satisfy his longtime passion for visual art. In 2006, he opened 13FOREST Gallery in the hopes of creating a space that would demystify the art-buying process. Marc has spent the past two decades tracking new talent and fostering an appreciation of local arts among his clients.
Caitee Hoglund
Caitee Hoglund (she/her) joined 13FOREST Gallery as the Director in 2017, where she has been curating a dynamic program of exhibitions and events with a wide variety of Boston’s finest artists. Caitee has also served as a juror for several local arts institutions, including the Attleboro Arts Museum, Mosesian Center for the Arts, and the Cambridge Art Association. Before her time at 13FOREST, Caitee earned her Master’s Degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University.
JUROR’S STATEMENT
When curating this show, we focused on selecting small works that make a large impact within a limited space. We were particularly drawn to those that showed us something we hadn’t seen before. It was important to us to highlight the breadth of different styles and themes in the submissions, and we chose as many different types of media, techniques and subject matter as possible. As always with a show focused on getting red dots, we tried to balance creating a dynamic-looking presentation with selecting work that people were sure to want to bring home with them. We always appreciate the opportunity to take a break from our typical gallery practice and curate for a different audience. And of course it is always a pleasure to get a taste of the wide range of talent within the Boston art community.

*Late picks-up will incur a $15 per-week fee. CAA does not have storage, and artworks that need to be transported from CAA @ Canal will incur an additional $15 transport fee. All fees must be paid before or at pick-up.
