What are your earliest memories of being artistic?  When I painted my front lawn.

 

When did art become a pursuit?  Who I stopped playing music and l needed to fill the void.

 

Are you self-taught or formally educated in visual art?  Both.

How did you first become involved with CAA?  Juried in a show in 2005.

 

In what other ways are you involved in the local art community?  I have been a member of the Waltham Mills Arsted Association.

 

What role do you think the artist plays in society?  Artists need to be the voice of change.

 

What medium do you currently work in and how did you choose this medium?  Mostly steel and what’s around.

What is your creative process? Where are you finding ideas for your art these days?  I love to walk and lots of ideas are always coming to me, and l love going to scrap metal yards.

 

How do you choose your subject matter? Is there a reoccurring theme that carries throughout your work?  I have no clue where I am going until I start working.

 

In your opinion, what’s your best/favorite piece you’ve made?

What is one of your artistic goals?  Keep trying new things.

 

What’s your favorite place to see art?  I see art all around me.

 

What living artists are you inspired by?  Mel Edwards , Kara Walker, Anthony Caro
