What are your earliest memories of being artistic? I refuse to answer. I believe art is about making my work more progressive. My most recent memory of art is the most important not the earliest. If I, for example, said “I wanted to be an artist when I was 5” there is some implication that my work has the intelligence of a 5 year old. Granted, I was the dopest, raddest 5 year old around BUT that desire to be rad is only possible by pursuing my my most current fully powered rad thought.
When did art become a pursuit? I am incapable of other work- always. I started stand-up at 16 and filmmaking then too.
Are you self-taught or formally educated in visual art? I was educated in film and special fx makeup/animation at NYU School of Film and Tv.

In what other ways are you involved in the local art community? I am a member of Spaceus, I participate in the Greenway Open Market, and have created commercials for local businesses.
What role do you think the artist plays in society? None. Art is not important- it is meant to be fun. That is why I do it. I want to be unimportant and silly hence why I have no desire to do an important job like feeding people, science, or building bridges. I want to make adorable fictional creatures and jokes about butts- i.e. the most insignificant thing in the world. Hence creating something unique and useless. Things that useful are bound to be created again for that use, only by being useless can one truely be original.
What medium do you currently work in and how did you choose this medium? Clay, mold making, paint, cgi, fx make up,’audio, video, animation, paper, digital- it is 2018, no working artist can learn only one skill.

What is your creative process? Where are you finding ideas for your art these days? I get all my ideas from a high fiber diet. This is an answer meant to subterfuge anyone trying to steal my ideas.
How do you choose your subject matter? Is there a reoccurring theme that carries throughout your work? What ever is the stupidest thing I can think of.
In your opinion what’s your best/favorite piece that you’ve made? Art can’t be best. To the second adjective, I have made a 1cm by 1/2 cm sculpture of a ferret that I think is precious.
What is one of your artistic goals? Immortality.

What’s your favorite place to view art? Movie theaters because they have snacks; some even have french fries now.
What living artists are you inspired by? Me.
Do you own any art by other artists? Yes. I don’t believe that looking at art inspires my work. I have no art in my house or studio unless it is a piece I am working on. I own 1 single Japanese woodcut given to me by my father.
Do you have any shows coming up? I am currently at Spaceus. However all my work is online. Search Hackthought podcast in all podcatchers, or Mike Fallek on Amazon Prime. My latest film is “SPIDERS WILL EAT YOUR FACE” a PG rated stopmotion documentary film about the history of Tarantula.
