What are your earliest memories of being artistic? Six or Seven
When did art become a pursuit? At 10-12
Are you self-taught or formally educated in visual art? Formally Educated.
What role do you think the artist plays in society? Educational by many means.
What medium do you currently work in and how did you choose this medium? Mixed Media- it provides unlimited options for experimenting.
What is your creative process? Where are you finding ideas for your art these days? My ideas usually come during the process of paining. I paint and observe in what direction the painting want to go.
How do you choose your subject matter? Is there a reoccurring theme that carries throughout your work? I’m interested in no object painting. I’m interested in color layers, color interactions and visual effects, mainly creating a mood
In your opinion, what’s your best/favorite piece you’ve made? “Unveiled” 2018 – Mixed Media, 24×24 on stretched canvas
What is one of your artistic goals for 2018? To take my art out of the studio. I want people to enjoy what I do with so much love!
What’s your favorite place to see art? MFA, ICA, Instagram, NYC
What living artists are you inspired by? Juan Lois Perez
