The Cambridge Art Association is open to all artists, 18 and older, living and working in the United States. The majority of our members live in the New England region, allowing them to actively take part in the exhibits and programs based in our Cambridge, Massachusetts galleries.
All new members must JOIN at the Associate Artist or Student Artist (where applicable) levels. Artist Membership is reserved for:
- Associate Artist or Student Artist members who have been juried into two (2) or more exhibits in a 12-month period
- Associate Artists who have been members in good-standing for five (5) consecutive years.

Responsibilities
- Dues at the Cambridge Art Association are valid for one full year from the date of joining or renewing. All members commit to one-year of membership at the time of joining or renewing.
- Monthly dues are billed automatically, to the form of payment on file. Memberships paid monthly agree to a one-year commitment from the time of joining or renew.
- Dues must be paid before a member is eligible to exhibit in a members’ exhibit.
ASSOCIATE ARTIST | $99 per year
Who is eligible? All artists 18 and older, living and working in the United States. All new members must JOIN at the Associate Artist or Student Artist (where applicable) levels.
Additional Associate Artist benefits include:
- Member-only juried + non-juried exhibits
- 60% commission on sales in CAA galleries
- Participation in Art Rental Program
ARTIST | $124 per year
Who is eligible? All artists 18 and older, living and working in the United States. Associate Artists who have been juried into two (2) CAA exhibitions in a 12-month period; or, who have maintained membership in good-standing for five (5) consecutive years.
Additional Artist benefits include:
- Member-only juried + non-juried exhibits
- 67% commission on sales in CAA galleries
- 10% discount on artwork purchases
- Participation in Art Rental Program
STUDENT | $50 PER YEAR
Who is eligible? Current BFA/MFA candidates at accredited institutions, with student ID; graduates of BFA/MFA programs in the past 5 years, with proof of graduation.
Additional benefits include:
- Waived entry fees for all CAA exhibits (juried and non-juried)
- 55% commission on sales in CAA galleries
Please note, effective February 1, 2026: Moving forward, all memberships will be billed on an annual basis, and monthly membership options will be retired at the time of renewal.
