Volunteering at the Cambridge Art Association is a great way to get to know the Cambridge Art Association community! As part of the membership requirement, all artists (from all membership levels) are required to volunteer a minimum six hours per membership year.

Opportunities entail gallery sitting, reception set up & break down, taking in artwork during submission periods and assisting during exhibition jurying.

Saturday Gallery Sitting (at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery)
– Open and close the gallery in shifts, 11am-2pm or 2-5pm
– Greet visitors that come into the Gallery
– Bring your lap top or a project your working on!

Taking Artwork in for Exhibition Submissions
– Assist in drop off, and check in artwork from fellow CAA Members, in shifts from 11am-2pm, 2-5pm
– Dates depend on Exhibition schedules.

Reception Assistance
– Help set up the reception food and drinks at both galleries.
– Greet guests as they arrive in the gallery.
– Help clean up at the end of the reception.

Assistance in Exhibition Jurying
– When jurors come to review work in person for exhibitions, we need assistance in moving artwork.

If you have further questions, please reach out to CAA Assistant Director, Cory Shea (cshea@cambridgeart.org) for details!
