Intrusion of Life Amongst the Detritus, Mixed Media

When was this piece created? 2020-2021

What is the story & inspiration behind this piece? When I am at a loss of what to create I “go back” to my old stand-by – doing line art with my rapidograph. One thing led to another and a lily found its way into this piece… Inspired by wanting to “escape” the antics of Trump …I needed another reality but at the same time, I felt the need to express my continual frustrations over what was (and is) going on.

Is there an outside element that influenced this piece (i.e. another artist, nature, a novel, a theory, etc)? Life

What is one of your artistic goals? Just to keep on creating.

Do you have any shows coming up? Actually, I am honored to be in a number of shows thru NAWA (National Association of Women Artists) currently online as well as in Boston.
