Meet Madelyn Carr

Madelyn Carr

Madelyn Carr is a rising senior at Boston University studying Art History and Political Science.  Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, she now considers the Boston area her second home. Madelyn’s passion for the arts hails from her family background where she grew up with her father working as a cartoonist and regular visits to the Art Institute of Chicago when she was a kid.  She also recently returned from a semester abroad where she had the opportunity to study at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.  While in Europe, Madelyn enriched her experience by visiting various European cities and cultures, always stopping at a few art museums on her trips.  Through her studies and experiences, Madelyn has become increasingly interested in the intersectionality between art and public policy, hoping to discover more about these subjects while interning at the Cambridge Art Association.  Madelyn is excited to intern at the Cambridge Art Association this summer and aims to broaden her knowledge about arts administration and nonprofit organizations while being here.

Stop by to meet Madelyn at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery on Thursdays or email her at mcarr@cambridgeart.org.
