Stone Carrier, Felted wool, paper, string

I started working full time as an artist 16 years ago when I first got my studio at Vernon St. For many years I taught art as well, but I’ve been working at least 40 hrs./wk in My studio for 6 or 7 years.

I’ve been independently curating my art education over a 30 year span. I taken classes from amazing artists in Europe, New England, the Midwest. Ceramics and drawing at the Univ. of Wisconsin, then painting at SMFA, MassArt, Haystack, Castle Hill, Cambridge Adult Ed., and so on.

Many friends influence.

Interpreters and witness. taking the pulse. The soul. Messaging.

I work in my studio almost every day. I travel a lot too, though. I can “out museum” anyone , I don’t get tired of looking at art. I do research, read, love science, and I collect old encyclopedias with great diagrams. I pay attention.

Themes of women left out of history’s telling. The inventors, builders, pilots, code-breakers, explorers, and managers who still managed a meal on the table, and probably wearing an amazing outfit. Also, migration and our shifting terrain. Ambiguous Space.

What Am I Waiting For? Oil on board

I would like to do an installation/collaboration with a few artists in an amazing weird location.

Yes, but local trades with artist friends are my fav.
